Biography:
After graduating from Wayne State University Law School in 1978, Mr. Reens first joined a sole practitioner and focused his practice primarily in the areas of family law and criminal defense, with the latter enabling him to participate in numerous jury trials. After conducting his own solo practice for a brief period, in 1981 Mr. Reens joined a small law firm and became a named partner within two years as that firm grew from four to twelve attorneys before dissolving in December 2004. While at his former law firm, Mr. Reens refocused his practice to the areas of commercial litigation and employment law, representing business clients in both traditional trial courts and administrative law proceedings. He has continued to maintain a select family law practice as well as the prosecution of plaintiffs’ personal injury claims. On January 1, 2005, Mr. Reens joined two other former members of larger law firms, George E. Pawlowski and Susan B. Flakne, to form the firm of Pawlowski, Flakne & Reens, PLC, where he continues to provide professional, ethical and aggressive representation to the firms’ diversified client base.
